Edgar, I hope I am not misuderstanding something, but as a note, when I
started working with the latest 3.9 image, I had to put the V39.sources in
the directory with the VM, in my case /usr/local/lib/squeak/3.9-7. It did not
work to put them with the image.

I try this and not working.
I should do the SqueakMethodTrace3.8.9b7 post mortem like John and see
differences.
By the way , I also try Squeak-3.7b-5 64 bit Unix and works without complain
and image don't show any messages what could be understood "source missing".

We did our best! Now you can complain this is free and simple.

Yes but in gamma phase and we decided to postpone it. I imagine that  
any sensible person would have done the same.

I do not complain, as you and Markus do a terrific job!!!
I share my little experience building images with any what read this list.
And I doing something for Squeak ....
Trying to resurrect old code.
Doing Squeak experiments what others could find useful.
Testing all what seems good and sending feedback.
Forcing any person what comes to lab to see Squeak in action :=)
