AppFuse in Google Summer of code 2009

I would like to bring attention to the dev community about Google Summer
of code 2009.

http://code.google.com/soc/

Although AppFuse has a smaller community (than Firefox or
OpenOffice) it is still a kick ass open source project.

The application period for mentoring organizations will start soon.
Perhaps it's a good idea to have an ideas page if participating in SoC
is a possibility for AppFuse.

I agree,

I would like to participate in such an initiative. We have been using
Appfuse for the last 8 months. It has helped us tremendously! However we
have found some quirks which could easily be addressed in SOC.

We also have some ideas as to what could form part of Appfuse in the
future. Once I have a spare moment I will type up some of the
suggestions we though of for Appfuse.

If someone is interested in integration aspects: ICEfusion (http://icefusion.googlecode.com/) is maybe a candidate for it. At the moment I've to invest a lot of time into the forthcomming ICEfaces book. Although, I use ICEfusion as a core for the programming examples there's not much time left to really push all this. It is already clear that I can not be part of the Codecamp. But, maybe someone else can and is interested in ICEfaces integration.
