Controlling DAE animation

Some javascript/style in this post has been disabled (why?)

Is there a supported way within Papervision to control (gotoAndPlay, gotoAndStop, etc) a pre-animated DAE model?  I see a bunch of Dae****** classes in the API docs, particularly DaeAnimation, but it doesn’t list any frame controls.  Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Jonathon

Check out this post on the new work Tim Knip added to PV3D in rev 911:

http://techblog.floorplanner.com/2009/05/26/papervision3d-21-alpha/

That should cover it!

Cheers,

Hi,
You can use the daeanim add-on for papervision available here :
http://code.google.com/p/daeanim/

It works very simply, you load your DAE , add labels to your animation
frames and manipulate them like a movieclip.
I don't know if similar features are available in pv3d trunk, but if
not, i think it would be interesting to merge with this project.

Thanks, guys!

Looking at the revision 911 now.  Does anyone know how to download that revision?  I don't see it listed in the downloads. I do have an SVN client, if that's the only way to get it.  Just need the checkout path...

DAEMC2 looks promising as well, thanks!

Jonathon

if you use Tortoise SVN just right click, choose Repo-Browser, and enter:

Got the latest trunk revision and I'm up and running with code.

Does anyone know of any sample animated Collada resources?  Tim's example didn't come with the MD2 model he used...  And the model I have doesn't seem to have the animation elements properly keyed.

Are the docs up to date for revision 918?

I'm looking at the API for the DAE class, and it shows:

getAnimationChannelByName(name:String):AbstractChannel3D
getAnimationChannels(target:DisplayObject3D = null):Array
getAnimationChannelsByClip(name:String):Array

But none of those methods are in the DAE class in the source code...
