Experience with Universal Adapter for FC-E8 + Canon Point&Shoot cameras?

Hi all,

I am trying to connect a FC-E8 fisheye to a Canon Point & Shoot camera like
the 12 Megapixel S950 or SD1100.
Reason is I need the CHDK or SDM custom firmware to synchronize two cameras
to take 2-shot 360-degree panoramas.

Like Michel Thoby unsuccessfully tried here using Nikon P5100:
http://michel.thoby.free.fr/DuoPix/DuoPix_solution.html

Anyone any experience with the following Universal Adapters?
(Additionally a Step-Down ring 37mm-28mm is needed.)

Adorama Uni-Cam 37mm Lens Adapter for Most Small Digital Point & Shoot
Cameras
http://www.adorama.com/ATUC37.html

Zeikos Universal Adapter for Attaching Filters & Lens Converters to Point &
Shoot Cameras (37mm)
http://www.adorama.com/CZZEPSAD.html

Any suggestions or hints?

Thanks,
Jan

It might work.  You should try to find out exactly
how long the adapter tube is and how far out the
lens of your camera extends.  Wouldn't be good to
have the camera lens push into the end of the fisheye.

Also, you will fiddle a lot with it to get it lined up
and how are you going to connect it to you pano head?

Maybe cheaper in the long run (considering the fussing about)
to get a more appropriate camera -- one that has an adapter
tube.

Cool,

any way to get a shot of your setup?
And the resulting images?
Panos?
RAWs?

Would be extremely helpful to me.

OK, ASAP!!
but:
1: it is an experimental setup, meant to jpg and not to shoot RAWS.
With chdk, you can raw it.
2: If your camera supports the lens at the right zoom value for your
task, all ok, if not....
3: I use Dsrl and fisheyes/wideangles for both personal and PRO tasks!
I use fisheye on small cameras for special things only!
