More frustration from having to deal with dozens of people on a weekly
basis that are too lazy to do any research or reading for themselves.
The more information and content you provide the less people read
hence the more questions you get asked. This phenomenon seems to be
getting worse and worse by the month. I guarantee you that you can
read any list or forum almost at any point in time and someone is
posting a question that they could very easily answer for themselves
if they could be bothered. But I guess it's far "EASIER" to just get
some other sucker to do the work for you. Or maybe these people have
no human interaction or friends and just need an excuse to converse
with someone.
I actually read an interesting article about the fact the prolific use
of Facebook by teenagers is now seriously starting to effect their
ability to have meaningful long-term relationships and friendships. I
know this is off topic but it goes back to the fact the people are
starting to rely to much on others to fulfil their personal and
information needs.
OK, this is an international list but they are dozens of such lists
and forums relating to panoramic photography in almost every language
spoken if non-native speakers are having problems. Plus for a fact,
the people complaining are native English speakers. I'm not sure
what's so difficult to understand about:
"When you select one of their portfolios, it will then download the
latest list of panoramas from the photographer's web site, and present
them to you to view."
note "from the photographer's web site" and
"This is very easy to do. It simply involves filling out an XML file
with the URL links to each of your JPEG files, putting that XML file
on your web site, and then letting us know about it."
note "your JPEG files" and "your web site,"
Nowhere does it mention that you have to upload anything to Brian's
server, why would Brian host everyone else's panos ? So where did the
idea that you had to upload content to Brian come from ? Again this is
a very time wasting phenomenon this is becoming far too prolific.
It just takes one person that couldn't be bothered reading the page to
then post wrong info on the list and Brian is left to answer a barrage
of questions that his website clearly answers.
