If you use the FireFox browser, here is a tweak that can give you a noticable boost to your browsing speed. It's amazing.

1. Open Firefox.
2. Type "about:config" (without the quote) in the URL box, i.e. where you’d normally type in http://www.nuzmo.com/, then hit return
3. In the "filter" box, type "network" to reduce the number of choices.
4. Scroll to find "network.http.pipelining" and double click to set it to TRUE.
5. Double click "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to set it to 8.
6. Restart Firefox

I see a noticable boost in browsing speed. Quite amazing.

I've found a great Firefox extension that does this and a few other cool things.

It's called Tweak Network, and one can customize how it works.  Anyway, it might be faster than doing about:config, although that works just fine:

Here's a link to it:

I do notice changes in performance, but I'm not sure that the speed has been a big issue, but I have a pretty nice connection as it is.  Mostly, it's nice to be able to download more than a few things at the same time, and this extension makes that possible.
