How can I call scripts from an external program?

Hello,

I'm wondering if there is a way to call FileMaker scripts from outside of
FileMaker on Windows.
I've looked at the API that comes with the sample plugin and there are ways
to call scripts from within the plugin but I don't know if or how I could
possibly use them from an external program.
I've also read that on the Mac you can use AppleScript to call FileMaker
scripts, if there was something like that for Windows that would be great.

On Windows you can call filemaker scripts via ActiveX. Go into help and you will find some sample code that shows how to call them.
