Intersecting Layers Masks

Hi List,

I've been experimenting with the intersecting layers mask tool to mask a
contour annotation layer and been following the instructions here:
http://tinyurl.com/y8b2lpx

The mask that's generated is inevitably an empty feature class. The input
layers' projections are set, reference scale, etc. Does anyone else get this
behaviour, know what I'm missing or have a workaround? I'm using v 9.1

Thanks,

Steve

Hi List,

Inevitably perhaps, I figured this out just after posting. I think the
instructions on the page are wrong, at least to obtain the effect I want the
"Feature Outline Masks" tool does the job, not the "Intersecting Layers
Masks"

Cheers,

Steve
