Hi,

Somebody knows where is the nodal point for the Tokina 10-17 ?

I'd like to have the nodal point for 10 mm / 4 shots and for 17 mm ( I
don't know how many shot is needed with this lens at 17mm and a 5D to
make a cylinder, between 6 and 8 probably).

I assume, at 10 mm / 4 shots, the point is very close from the glass,
like the nikkor 10.5 and sigma 8.

I will do my own test when I'll have my lens of course, but it's good
to have some idea.

Best Regards,
Nicolas Burtey.

May I assume that you intend to shave the lens for that?

Yes, 6 shots around are sufficient and you may shoot two row +/- 45°
for instance.

Please take note that for six shots and 17 mm, the NPP is some
millimeters backwards from the shown position.
To put it simply: the NPP is about fixed from 10 mm (four shots
around) to 17 mm (six shots around).
