Guys i have 2 pIV Boxes and i clustered it with PelicanHPC..Yesterday it worked fine...But today when i boot and try to do 'pelican_setup' it shows the no.of nodes available is '1' by default even before when i boot the second computer...And when i try to finish the process it shows the total no.of nodes available as 4 which is supposed to be only '2'....Guys whats the cause of this problem???...Is there anyway to bring back it to normal...Kindly help....

That's odd. This indicates that when the frontend node scans the network used for clustering (by default, 10.11.12.X), it receives as response to a ping from some other machines. Is you cluster isolated from other machines (wireless turned off, for example)? Try removing the file /home/user/tmp/bhosts, if it exists, and then rerun pelican_restarthpc.

Are you using some sort of permanent storage?

Which version of Pelican are you running?

OK, you should be careful using Pelican on a shared network, or the administrators are likely to give you a spanking. Pelican starts a dhcp server, which will conflict with other dhcp servers. Please check the tutorial, the section on Initial Setup, the part that says "IMPORTANT"  for the details.
