Hello,

technically this isn't released yet but I though I post it here since
I've prepared this neat preview. It's a Flash game I've been working on
for over a year now using Papervision3D It is called TRAUMA and I guess
you could categorize it as a Point-and-Click Adventure. But it's very
different.
http://www.gamedesignreviews.com/trauma/

It tells a story of a young woman who survives a car accident.
Recovering at the hospital, she has dreams that shed light on different
aspects of her identity - such as the way she deals with the loss of her
parents. You can navigate with her trough those dreams and learn about her.

The game features gesture-recognition, real-time 3D (obviously) and
somewhat unusual photographic visuals. Also, I followed a design
strategy that focuses on experience rather than challenge.

I used Papervision3D. I started out over a year ago so this was even
before the Effects branch was integrated into GreatWhite. Actually, I'm
still using that old Effects branch because rewriting for after the
integration seemed too daunting at some point.

It will be playable online. The release will be by hopefully the end
2009. Here is a tiny, tiny website with a first gameplay video:

http://www.gamedesignreviews.com/trauma/

Questions, comments and feedback are very welcome!

bye

This is something I did in my free time so there is little financial
risk involved. On the other hand, I do have some ideas I'd like to try
on monetizing it. They just so happen to involve a free version as well.
I can explain the model when the game is released. It will be quite an
experiment. ;)
