Troi URL plugin slow on one computer

I have the troi url plugin deployed on 2 computers on the same
network. I have a button that calls the plugin to send some post data.
Well, on one computer, the post takes 3 seconds, on the other computer
it takes 30 seconds. This is absolutely consistent and reproducible.
We recently upgraded from FMP 8.5 to 10, and I downloaded the latest
version of troi url (2.0.3), but the issue persists. Thinking it is a
corrupted cache or something,  I used Cocktail to delete a bunch of
cache's (though not all) and used Disk Utility to repair disk
permissions, then reboot. None of that helped. Any ideas would be
greatly appreciated!

Sincerely,
Dan

I said Serial ports... more clear, they are the same as Ports

Look for device :
Where Ports & Lpt
...then the communication port your wondering about   com1, com2?

Both of my computers are Macs, so I don't think any of this applies.
There is no com1, com2, or serial ports per se. I'm sure there are
equivalents, but I have no idea how to monitor them on the Mac, and
even if I did, I wouldn't know what steps to take to remedy such an
issue. My current theory is that it may be an issue with his user
account in my database, so I'm gonna have him try posting the charge
using my database login on his computer.

I'd try checking the DNS settings on the computers and see if they
were the same. If the DNS resolution path is different, you would see
differences in response time to a URL request.

thanks to all who gave their input on this one. I figured it out, and
it had nothing to do with the plugin or the computer, but rather the
user's account in the database and how it was configured! The database
is configured to prepend the troi url result to an 'audit trail'
field, so I can get a historical log of transactions. well, as you may
have already guessed, his audit trail field had become quite long...
56K lines in fact! So filemaker was brought to its knees every time he
ran a charge, just to update that field. And I realized that since I
created that field I have obsoleted it, since I store the current url
result in a charges  record also. phew!
