This is the default behavior in most web applications in that the last one to click "save" wins.
Spring Security has support for only allowing one session at a time, but that means if you're already logged in, you won't be able to login again from somewhere else. Can you imagine the painful user experience if you're logged in at work and you go home and can't login?
