Using Windows 7 with FileMaker 6

I have a hosting client who is eternally stuck in FileMaker 6; one of  
the people there just went to Windows 7 and is experiencing trouble  
running FMP6 with Windows 7.

I told him that since FileMaker Pro 6 is now 7 years old, I doubted  
that it would run in Windows 7, but he did say that it ran fine with  
Vista (go figure).

Has anyone had any luck trying to use FMP6 with Windows 7?

It runs as solid on VISTA as the 7-10 family - though not certified.
It is too dumb to know it shouldn't be there.

1. My understanding of W7 is it is really pretty much a service pack
for VISTA, cleaning up a lot of things. On that basis it should run.

2. The thing I do not know is if it has a 64 bit component to it or
if it runs 64 bit on some machines. If it does, look for something
for running 32 bit apps.

Yes, my client told me it ran fine for him on Vista, but he says it's  
painfully slow on Windows 7.
