Hello all,

Does anyone have a definitive list of the various paths for server
plug-ins for all versions of server?  I don't have all these versions of
server to test with and I've got people complaining that our
documentation is wrong.

For FileMaker Server 9, I know the OS X paths are:

Database Server: /Library/FileMaker Server/Database Server/Extensions/
WPC: /Library/FileMaker Server/Web Publishing/publishing-engine/wpc/Plugins/

On Windows, I *think* I know the right locations:

Database Server: C:\Program Files\FileMaker\FileMaker Server\Database
Server\Extensions\
WPC: C:\Program Files\FileMaker\FileMaker Server\Web
Publishing\publiching-engine\wpc\Plugins\

However, at least one customer has told us that the WPC path for windows
is wrong .. that it's supposed to be "Extensions" instead of "Plugins".
  Is that correct?

Also, I found one place (360Works documentation) that says FileMaker
Server 8 is like completely different for the Database Server
(/FileMaker Server/Extensions/Plugins/ or something).

So, I'm looking for a complete list so I can put it in my documentation.
Perhaps this would be a good addition to your wiki too, Kent.

Thanks,
Jake

No.  It's definitely \Plugins\

The trick is  (ie. I got caught by this) that by default, the Plugins
directory DOESN'T exist, and needs to be manually created.

However, to confuse you,  there is an 'Extensions' directory within
the wpc directory by default (empty too)

But, the plugins will only work if they are places into a Plugins
directory, which you must manually create.

That's correct. Keep in mind that starting in version 9, the Plugins
folder doesn't exist in the wpc folder, so the customer will need to
create that folder. I have no idea why they decided to create one
more obstacle to customers using plugins...

In 8, the path is FileMaker Server/Extensions/Plugins - they changed
it in 9 to FileMaker Server/Database Server/Extensions
