A happy new year Michael

i tested my cluster with the version 1.6, 1.7 and 1.72
I have two different motherboards in my cluster. The first motherboard runs with all versions,
the second gives an error message at least by version 1.7: iomum error
I googled for the error and it seems that the error occures if no agp card is installed and the ram is over 4 Gbyte.
Version 1.72 gives an error message iomem could not loaded.
Version 1.6 does not boot.
I think the error is caused by the kernel but i am not sure.

Any suggestion what i can do, cheatcodes ?

Actually i am looking for a version where i can use a ramdisk with 4Gbyte for both computers

Best regards from http://www.beablue.de

Hi Bernhard,
I haven't seen that error myself, but my testing is done on a limited set of hardware. If a PelicanHPC image won't boot, it's a problem shared with Debian Live, since the only Pelican-specific stuff comes after booting. I suspect that the live-initramfs package may be the root of the problem, but that's only speculation. Since this type of problem is common to Debian Live, it's probably better to seek answers on the Debian Live mail list. That list is read by people who are a lot more likely to know of a solution that I am, too.
Cheers, Michael
