My task is to compute point density within a 8 mile radius from the center of the circle.
I have a fire damage dataset in point shapefile format and the center of the circles around which (i.e from 8 mile of the radii) I need to compute density of the fire damage. During density computation, fire damage points close to the center should count more than points further from the center. I have created the buffer of 8 mile from the center of the different circles to determine the number of fire damage locations within the circle. After this I couldnot figure out the process that helps me to achieve my objective of computing point density. Your suggestions in this regard would be of great help.
