segmentation violation

Hello there,

I've created a polygon shapefile in ArcGIS and put it into ArcView 3.2. I would like to do some analyses on it but whenever I go to use it in one of the extentions it says "Segmentation Violation". Is there something I could do (or haven't done) that can remedy the problem?

ahhh, the infamous segmentation violation. It can mean just about anything, except for "I've accomplished what you asked of me my Mistress. What is your next command?".
